Preston Station
Work is taking place at Preston station to renew the lifts to Platforms 1/2 and Platforms 5/6. The work will take place between 4 January and 28 February 2010
Customers should be aware that during this period there will be no lift access on these platforms which serve the Blackpool –Liverpool line (Plat 1 and 2) and Glasgow – London/Birmingham (Plat 5 and 6). Customers with disabilities, luggage and pushchairs may encounter difficulties or delays in transferring between platforms during this time.Extra staff and a wheelchair lift will be provided however where possible customers should avoid changing at Preston where other options are available. Those who do need to use Preston should allow additional time for changing platforms if they require assistance in using Platforms 1 / 2 or 5 / 6.
There will also be some subway works taking place at the same time so it is requested that all customers requiring assistance are directed to the station front near to the ticket hall for collection / drop off.
